Eileen Wingaard Sjøqvist is a Swiss-Norwegian photographer full of curiosity who grew up in France. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Photography and a Master of Arts in Documentary Photography.

Eileen’s photography is socially engaged and aware. Portraiture forms the core of her creations, and self-portraiture is one of its main roots. She is deeply passionate about analysing her surroundings, observing and documenting.

Growing up in a melting-pot family brought her an

abundance in life. Being aware of the diversity in our

world, keeping on questioning and being open-minded is one of her most important facets which influences greatly her photography.​

"Believe in yourself and whatever you want in life. Observe your surroundings, listen to people, and tolerate all of our differences that create the preciousness of it. Live with all your senses. That's what I try to do while capturing, trying to grasp the dimensions. Our world can be so overwhelming yet fascinating."
